This symposium features papers from leading scholars who have been at the forefront of popular music theory and analysis since its inception in the 90s. Contributors include: Matt BaileyShea, Alyssa Barna, Nicole Biamonte, John Covach, Stephanie Doktor, Walt Everett,Allan Moore, and Mark Spicer.*
The event is sponsored by the Institutes of Popular Music of both Rochester and Liverpool, together with the Society for Music Analysis, and Liverpool University School of the Arts.
Admission is free but pre-registration is essential. Participation is ‘in person’ only, and live streaming will not be available. Please sign-up here.
