This page’s first iteration contains information about our developing partnership with the Society for Music Theory, as well as contact information for European theory and analysis societies and their events. It is hoped that this page will evolve over time to capture global information.

Society for Music Theory
The SMA is pleased to announce that we have been discussing possible ways of collaborating with the SMT. Collaborations in 2025 included an SMT themed Zoom Colloquium and a Zoom panel on preparing proposals for submission to the SMT plenary conference. Please watch this space and the Events page for further details.

The European Network for Theory and Analysis of Music
The European music societies have formed a collaborative network, the European Network for Theory and Analysis of Music (T&AM). Their website includes a regularly updated listing of events run by the participating societies.
