Music Literacy Study Day (funded by the IMR and SMA)

The study day provides an opportunity to debate the meaning of music literacy in music education and its associated pedagogies. With the permission of delegates, the anonymous discussion points will form part of the data for the Music Literacy Project: “Questioning the gap: defining a role for the SMA in preparing students for music degrees in higher education today.”

If you are a music teacher (school, college, university, peripatetic, private), then your contribution to the day would be most welcome as well as offering an opportunity for CPD. Music students (sixth form, undergraduate or postgraduate) are also most welcome.
