Join the SMA
The SMA is a dynamic, friendly group of scholars, students and other parties who share an interest in the theoretical and analytical issues of music. The Society is always delighted to welcome new members. The generous benefits of membership include:
- the option of a discounted subscription rate for the leading journal Music Analysis, which includes both print copies issued during the year of membership and online access to issues back to 1999 on Wiley Online Library;
- the annual SMA Newsletter and a regular programme of mailings, keeping you up to date with the latest events and developments in the discipline;
- free registration and refreshments at the Society’s frequent Study Days, which focus on topical issues and include; presentations from scholars of international renown as well as those entering the profession;

2012 Anniversary-Year Membership Offer for Students
To celebrate 30 years since the founding of the journal Music Analysis and 21 years since the founding of the Society for Music Analysis, we will be offering special student membership rates for 2012: just £16.50 for student membership with a subscription to volume 31 (2012) of Music Analysis and online access to the journal; or FREE student membership without a Music Analysis subscription.
