The SMA is a dynamic, friendly group of scholars, students and other parties who share an interest in the theoretical and analytical issues of music. The Society is always delighted to welcome new members. The generous benefits of membership include:

Membership applications from persons with a UK bank account

We are able to accept payment by bank transfer or sterling cheque. Please register using the online membership system and follow the instructions there. Unfortunately we are unable to accept card payments at this time, but this is a facility that we may be able to offer at some point in the future.

Please do not choose to pay using the ‘cash’ option at the online checkout without the prior agreement of the Membership Secretary. We are occasionally able to accept payment by cash at SMA events, but please discuss this with the Membership Secretary (membership@sma.ac.uk) first.
